Registration for 2012 is Open

Registration for the Spring 2012 softball season is upon us. Here’s pretty much everything you need to know:

· Online registration, with credit/debit card payment opens Saturday 9/17
· If you’d prefer to download and print a registration form and mail a check, the form is available in pdf format under the Player Registration link – send it to BGS, PO Box 4234, Burlingame 94010
· We have in-person player/coach registration sessions and uniform fittings scheduled at the Burlingame Recreation Center as follows:
o Saturday, October 29th: 9 am – 12 noon
o Tuesday, November 1st: 6 pm – 8 pm
o Saturday, December 3rd: 10 am-12 noon (Uniform Fitting Only)

· We’ve been able to keep our 2012 fees down to last season’s level:
o Burlingame Resident Fees:
§ One player – $165
§ Two players from the same family – $145 per player
§ Three players from the same family – $125 per player
o Non-Resident Surcharge – $45 per player (collected per Burlingame Parks & Recreation policy and passed directly on to the city)
o Waitlist Registration after December 3 – $40 Late fee applied

· Ages and Divisions: For 2012, BGS is open to all girls born between 1 Jan 1997 and 31 Dec 2006 (aged 5-14 as of 1 Jan 2012). We have 5 playing divisions, as follows:
Division Birth Year
14 and Under 1997-1998
12 and Under 1999-2000
10 and Under 2001-2002
8 and Under 2003-2004
6 and Under 2005-2006

· Key Dates for 2012:
o Registration Deadline: 3 Dec 2011 (after which registration is waitlist-based, with a $40 late fee)
o Coaches’ Meeting: 11 Jan 2012
o Crazy Sock Night: 8 Feb 2012
o Opening Day: 3 Mar 2012
o Summer All-Star Tryout: early May 2012
